The Hultafors Stalberg Carpenter Axe is designed for skilled craftsmen who demand precision. Featuring a straight handle and a long, narrow cutting edge with a Scandinavian grind, it excels in detailed woodworking tasks. A finger notch in the axe head allows for enhanced control by positioning the hand directly above the cutting edge. Hand-forged in Sweden from high-quality steel, the axe head is struck 40-60 times during forging to increase density and durability. The American hickory handle, treated with linseed oil, ensures a comfortable grip, while the included leather sheath provides protection.
